If authorities on the island acted on your words, the change would soon be noticed.

It will take the co-operative efforts of all concerned to reform the image Crete has earned, both within Greece and abroad, as a hell for animals and anyone who cares about them. If those who attended this meeting have the will to end the suffering, it can be done. After years of increasing struggle against a situation which has worsened over time, not improved, many fear that such meetings are mere ineffectual displays of apparent concern which will yet again result in no significant action by those in power - just empty words. There is a lot of despair and anger. We need to see the police, church and local authorities apply their powers and leadership to achieve NOT some great wonder but merely the standard of behaviour towards other creatures that all people expect of civilised communities.

For your untiring efforts to make this happen, we applaud you!Zoofiloinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7595509953938649386.post-55312065101839924102011-05-02T21:45:16.347-07:002011-05-02T21:45:16.347-07:00I would like to express my personal gratitude to N...I would like to express my personal gratitude to Natasha Bompolaki and the other hard working members of this committee for being a voice for the animals here in Crete and indeed throughout Greece. Whilst many of us struggle to face and meet the daily catastrophes in localized areas of Crete, we and the animals for which we care desperately need this vital and the only official voice that can reach the ears of those that can act to make changes for advancement.Cretanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15158288002578657899noreply@blogger.com
